Calming Clouds is a set of sky studies made in the last twenty minutes of light, when the cloud bank goes pale blue and the underside turns to apricot. There is no horizon in any of them and nothing to identify the place, which is the point: hung together, they read as breath rather than as scenery. The palette is deliberately quiet, soft grey-blue, warm cream, a thread of peach, so the set sits with stone, teak, linen and water without competing for the room.
Shown here as three vertical prints in a treatment suite; the set also hangs as four or six down a corridor. Every image is natural light, made in camera, with no digital manipulation. Available in fixed sizes with trade terms, and I am glad to work to a specification.
Sets are framed and matted. Different frames and matte colors available on request. Reach out to christine@crhoadespics.com for inquiries.
